Houghton 2022 - Electronic Music Festival Stretch Tents & Custom Structures
Set in the stunning parkland area surrounding a lake in Houghton Hall, Norfolk, hosts the UK’s electronic music festival ‘Houghton’, created by Craig Richards. The festival that was birthed in 2017 has survived many setbacks, from being forced to cancel in 2019 due to high winds in the local area, the coronavirus and related complications meant that until this year 2022, it has been three years since the festival last took place, and we are proud to have been in partnership with Houghton since the very beginning.
In the build up to this year’s event, England endured the driest July in almost two centuries. East Anglia spent weeks basking in the sunshine to the point of local crop fires, this brought panic to the festival as there was talk of cancellation just weeks before the event. Luckily the festival was able to take place!
With a team of 12 crew, over 9 days we installed 13 stretch tents as well as installing our custom made stretch tent which Houghton commissioned us to build for their infamous Tantrum stage which is a favourite of regulars at Houghton. This stage is the closest to an industrial clubbing space the festival offers. With a DJ booth set amongst stacked shipping containers covered by our 30mx10m stretch tent.
As well as all these structures we installed wooden flooring for the warehouse and various floors and smaller structures across the site and have already been asked back this year! See you on the dancefloor….
